Assignment 5: Still Life

Miles Johnson: Ambition

The theme of this photo is ambition in the quest for knowledge. I tried to portray the ambitious endeavor of reading such a large stack of books. For the background, I used a large black sheet. In addition to the lamp you can see at the right of the picture, I needed a small additional light beyond the left side of the frame to better illuminate the stack of books and the watch. I also changed the white balance to give the photo a warm, natural look.
