This photo satisfies requirement 1 (night nature).
I took this photo down in Monterey, CA, and really wanted to capture the different lines formed by the rocks jutting out from shore. I also included a bit of the brighter sandy beach to contrast with the dark water. There was a near full moon that night so there was plenty of light for the shot.
I love how waves average out during a long exposure, so I wanted to make the shutter speed pretty long (on a tripod). As I was a little ways away from the rocks I wanted in focus, I left the aperture relatively wide to capture enough light but keep all the rocks in focus, and I set the ISO low to reduce noise. No post processing done.
